How many mornings does your alarm go off just when you’ve fallen into that deep sleep you craved since your head hit the pillow? A solution may now be here. The aXbo alarm clock purportedly tracks sleep patterns by monitoring REM cycles and wakes you when you are most likely to be optimally refreshed. As you pass through different levels of sleep – lighter to deeper and back again – a wrist band senses your body movements and transmits the activity back to the clock. Before falling asleep, you set a window during which the alarm can wake you and it waits for the optimal moment within that timeframe. The aXbo doesn’t claim to make you sleep better, simply that it could help you wake up more refreshed. The Austrian based company is now taking pre-orders. Found via Christine Mathiowetz.
