A Few Recent Life Observations.
I’ve come to a few conclusions about people and life in the last couple weeks and I felt like sharing. Here goes:
- Women are crazy. Men are stupid. [Stop. Read the statement again. You know you agree with me.]
- War is atrocious.
- Women gossip. All the time. It’s annoying. I am, self-admittedly, guilty.
- Behind every great man, is an incredible woman. Behind every incredible woman, are her fabulous friends.
- The level of infidelity and divorce in the country disgusts me. I see it glorified in movies and tv shows all the time. I overhear women talking it about the gym. I see my family endure it and my friends provoke it. How am I supposed to believe in the institution of marriage these days?
- It is incredible how the capture of a moment via a photograph can make that instance so beautiful and glorified. It makes me sad to realize sometime those moments appear to be more intimate than they actually were.
- Life is truly about the people you spend it with, not the things you have. Life is also precious. Rejoice each day.

Great post Ashley. I agreed with every point you make. Concerning number 5, I am very happily married for 30 years now and can tell you that the secret to success in marriage is spiritual. Your observance in point 6 is directly related…the reason that photo is so intense is because we study it and experience that moment more intensely than we lived it. Stop. Observe and study your mate. Someone once told me marriage is a give and take arrangement. No! It is all give…that is the key to success in marriage. Few ever enjoy that. #5 bugs me a lot too! dont lose faith in the marriage path. if that is for you look for the good stories out there, the long lasting full of life marriages (oh by the way it is not easy, but what in life is that is full of emotion, thinking, successes and failures!) Dont lose your faith in your dream of being married (oh your vision of that is different than other people’s that is ok, there is no manual)
Yes us guys are stupid and if you cant admit that you are stupid and dont understand why all of us men need to admit that…..
